conventual complex of s.maria egiziaca a piz.
via egiziaca a pizzofalcone n.30

Its construction goes back to 1639 and is the result of the changes had in Palace Toledo, wanted by the nuns of the homonym convent of Forcella. The works were submitted to Cosimo Fanzago and, to his death, to Francesco Anthonio Picchiatti, with following interventions and modifications due to Anthonio Galluccio, Archangelo Guglilminelli and Giuseppe Astarita. In this building you will find the suggestive entrance, with the portal to atrium flanked by columns at the end of a staircase to circular section; very beautiful are also the courtyard and the two cloisters. The decorations are work of Pietro Scarola, while in the inside you will find an eighteenth-century altar of Giuseppe Bastianelli, canvas of Paolo De Matteis and Nicola Fumo; a Virgin of the Purity realized by Onofrio Palumbo and, in the sacristy, a seventeenth-century Sacred Family and an artistic Crucifix
