The Ministeriale is a “patented” cake made with chocolate and rhum and eaten during the gala dinners arranged by the Duke of Aosta in the Royal Palace in Capodimonte. The name Ministeriale is due to the fact that during a dinner in honour of the Minister Giolitti, everybody enjoyed this cake that had been cooked for the first time. It was invented by Scaturchio, Piazza S. Domenico Maggiore, Naples.
